1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to StudentConnect. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of StudentConnect mobile applications (Parent App, Teacher App) and web platforms (School Admin Portal), collectively referred to as the "Services," provided by AARA Technologies ("we," "our," or "us").

2. Description of Services

StudentConnect is a school management and communication platform that provides:

• For Parents: Real-time tracking of student attendance, homework, academic performance, and school communications
• For Teachers: Classroom management tools including attendance marking, homework assignment, grade recording, and parent communication
• For Schools: Administrative dashboard for managing students, teachers, classes, and school operations

3. Eligibility

3.1 Age Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• Student accounts are managed by schools and parents/guardians
• Teachers must be authorized by their respective schools

3.2 Authorization

• Schools must have proper authorization to use the Services for their institution
• Teachers must be employed by or affiliated with a registered school
• Parents must have a legitimate relationship with enrolled students

4. Account Registration and Security

4.1 Account Creation

• Schools register through our School Admin Portal
• Teachers and parents are invited by schools
• You must provide accurate and complete information

4.2 Account Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• OTP codes should not be shared with others
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• We are not liable for losses due to unauthorized account use

5. User Responsibilities

5.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to:

• Use the Services only for lawful educational purposes
• Provide accurate information about students and staff
• Respect the privacy of other users
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Maintain confidentiality of student information

5.2 Prohibited Activities

6. School Responsibilities

Schools using StudentConnect agree to:

6.1 Data Management

• Ensure accuracy of student and staff data
• Obtain necessary consents from parents/guardians
• Manage user access and permissions appropriately
• Report any data breaches or security incidents

6.2 Compliance

• Comply with applicable education privacy laws
• Ensure FERPA compliance (for US schools)
• Adhere to local data protection regulations
• Maintain appropriate records retention policies

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Rights

• StudentConnect, including all software, designs, logos, and content, is owned by AARA Technologies
• All trademarks, service marks, and logos are our property
• You may not use our intellectual property without written permission

7.2 Limited License

• We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our Services
• This license is for personal, non-commercial educational use only
• The license terminates when you stop using our Services or violate these Terms

7.3 User Content

• You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, documents, etc.)
• You grant us a license to use, store, and display your content to provide the Services
• You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to content you upload

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using our Services, you agree to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Fees and Payment

9.1 Subscription Model

• Schools pay subscription fees for using StudentConnect
• Current pricing: ₹5 per student per month
• Parent and Teacher apps are free for authorized users

9.2 Payment Terms

• Subscription fees are billed as agreed in the service contract
• Fees are non-refundable except as required by law
• We may modify pricing with 30 days' notice

10. Service Availability

10.1 Uptime

• We strive to maintain 99.9% service availability
• Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance
• Emergency maintenance may occur without notice

10.2 Service Modifications

• We may modify, update, or discontinue features at any time
• Material changes will be communicated to users
• We are not liable for service modifications or discontinuation

11. Disclaimers

We do not guarantee that:

• The Services will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Defects will be corrected
• The Services are free of viruses or harmful components
• Results from using the Services will be accurate

12. Limitation of Liability

We shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Lost profits, data, or business opportunities
• Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account
• Damages from service interruptions or modifications

13. Termination

13.1 By You

• You may stop using the Services at any time
• Account deletion requests can be submitted through the app or by contacting support

13.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

• You violate these Terms
• Your school's subscription expires or is terminated
• We reasonably believe termination is necessary to protect our Services or users
• Required by law

13.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately, and we may delete your account and data per our retention policy.

14. Dispute Resolution

14.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at hello@scapp.in to attempt informal resolution. We will work in good faith to resolve the dispute within 30 days.

14.2 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14.3 Jurisdiction

Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
